What We Offer ICBC Clients?

Did you know you are eligible to receive counselling after a motor vehicle accident?

If you have recently been in a crash, you are eligible and pre-approved for 12 session with a clinical counsellor. This applies to sessions within the first 12 weeks following the date of your accident. If it has been more than 12 weeks, we would be happy to work alongside of you and your primary care team to see if adding sessions may be an option.

We will take care of direct-billing to ICBC for your sessions.

To book your first session with us, we need your claim number. To obtain this number, contact ICBC and notify them of your accident. During the call they will give you a claim number.

For your first appointment, please provide us the following information to help us make the process easier to set-up direct billing with ICBC.

  1. Claim Number

  2. Your Date of Birth

  3. Contact information for your lawyer if you have one

Once you are ready to start counselling, your Counsellor and/or our Admin team will help you book your appointments.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why would I want to a therapist?

People who are struggling may seek therapy to treat a problem and/or learn healthy ways to cope. A therapists role is to support you through life's hardships when it may seem unbearable. Therapy is also a place for strengthening communication skills and engaging in self exploration.  

Do you direct bill to extended insurance plans?

We currently do not accept payment directly from the insurance company. If your plan does not cover RCC, CCC, but covers Registered Psychologist or Social Workers, you can make a request to your employer and insurance company that they adjust your plan.

Are sessions covered by my benefits?

Registered Clinical Counsellors (RCC) and Certified Canadian Counsellor (CCC) are typically covered by many extended health benefit plans, however, this depends on your company’s specific plan. We recommend speaking to your human resources department or consult your benefit booklet.

What are the benefits of virtual counselling?

Online counselling is easily accessible for all who want to use it. It overcomes barriers that may limit others from seeking therapy. Online therapy is also convenient. Both the client and the therapist have the convenience of corresponding at a wider ranges of times. With the added bonus of attending session in comfortable and familiar space.

Which type of counselling is best for me?

Your therapist will be able to determine if virtual counselling, otherwise known as Telehealth, will be the best format for you. Each individual has unique needs that our counsellors take into consideration when assessing whether means of service delivery is best for you.

How much counselling will I need?

Your counselling needs depends on your current overall health status and what you can afford. Typically, the average amount of sessions are between 10-14 sessions in total, although some individuals may need less and some may need more.
