Areas of Focus:

Therapeutic Modalities:

"I engage in my work as a counsellor with the belief that the human life journey is a mixture of both planned and unexpected events occurring within specific structures or ‘systems.’ I view our individual ability to respond to life events as shaped by the oral stories and experiences of our parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents, our own early childhood experiences, our teen years and emergence into adulthood, as well as the socio-political events that affect our lives now and have affected previous generations. We are each developmental beings, with the opportunity to learn and grow throughout life. I honor each client’s unique nervous system, which developed within the individual's nuclear family emotional system. I offer each client the opportunity to reflect upon, identify, and transform thoughts, feelings, and behaviors which were once helpful, and now may no longer serve them. My post-graduate training in Bowen Family Systems and Somatic Experiencing, along with insights from Attachment Theory, Polyvagal Theory, and trauma recovery, has enriched both my professional practice and my own life. I enter every conversation with optimism, hope, and curiosity, and look forward to supporting your learning and growth."
