COVID-19 Update
Updated: Sep 17, 2022
West End Counselling Centre is open for in-person & virtual sessions!
Are you still open? West End Counselling is doing everything we can to keep you safe and healthy. As the COVID-19 pandemic has evolved, we have adapted our services to ensure the best for the health and safety of our staff and the communities that we serve. Both virtual and in-person sessions are available and we encourage you to choose the service based on your preferred preference.
Did anything change?
West End Counselling has and will continue to monitor the spread of COVID-19 to ensure our healthy and safety is our top priority. West End Counselling has been following guidance from the Canadian Public Health Agency, BC Center for Disease Control, and Vancouver Coastal Health, to ensure just that.
We continue to implement stringent cleaning protocols, which includes sanitizing high touch areas, chairs, medical equipment, door handles and light switches in between sessions. All waiting room chairs have been distanced to maintain physical distancing as easy as possible.
Lastly, our team members are screened daily using BC COVID 19 Self-Check Assessment Tool. If any team member experiences any signs of sickness, they will not enter the office and you will be notified about the change in schedule immediately with the option to continue virtually or reschedule to the earliest available date.
What happens before my appointment? Two days prior to your session, we will contact you via email and enquire about the status of your health. Pre-screening each client is important to the health and well-being of our staff and clients as it helps us determine if you are eligible to attend in-person. Your session may be cancelled if we are unable to reach you.
If you experiencing any COVID or flu like symptoms of any kind, please do not come in. We are happy to help you re-schedule or change to a virtual session. Our clinicians may deny in-person treatment to any client whom they believe may be exhibiting signs of COVID-19. If you have recently returned from international travel, please ensure your session is booked after your mandatory isolation period is over.
What happens while I am in the clinic? Please note that face masks are now mandatory throughout the building. Hand sanitizer, disposable masks, and gloves can be provided upon request. We ask that all clients please sanitize their hands upon entry and exit.
Stay health and stay safe,
West End Counselling Centre team
